AI, African languages, and access. Founded out of Buildspace — because too many people are locked out of technology by language, ability, or geography.

the problem

African languages are underrepresented in AI. Accessibility tools assume English. Most VR experiences never leave major cities. JALI is a direct response to that — not a research project, an actual effort to build things that work for people who've been left out of the conversation.

the point

The goal isn't to build a product — it's to shift what's possible for the people who use it. That means open tools, real community work, and staying close to the people JALI is actually for.
